As the countdown to Electric Zoo: The 6th Boro whittles down from dog years to months to weeks to days, we here at EZoo HQ have been pacing about in our cages, bristling with anticipation, to share the Single Day Lineups with all you party animals. And now, finally, finally, finally…that moment has arrived!
Each stage this year — Main Stage, Hilltop, Riverside, and Awakenings — will bring something totally unique to The 6th Boro. From big room to trance, heavy bass to melodic house, trapstyle to the deepest, darkest, and weirdest techno, the lineup for Electric Zoo: The 6th Boro is as diverse as the urban jungle that we call home—New York City! We can’t wait to share our little slice of the Big Apple with our animal family from across the globe…
On Friday, the party gets started in the biggest way possible with the EZoo debut of French pop-trap luminary DJ Snake, who will be bringing his huge sounds and personality to the Main Stage. Joining him will be Swedish Duo Galantis, genre-fusing globetrotter Seven Lions, and the savagest bass-dropper Snails, alongside summertime vibe-layers Lost Kings, booty pop maestro Party Favor, Michigan native Elephante, and NYC hometown hero Lestat.
If you went bananas at Dada Land Compound in Brooklyn last month, you’ll have a taste of what’s to come when the Swedish legends take over the Hilltop Arena, flanked by Don Diablo, Martin Solveig, Grey, Bad Royale and Wingtip. Make sure you get plenty of potassium in your systems before September 1st because there’s about to be a banana brawl like NO OTHER.
On the Riverside, we’re going full-blown trance, with Egyptian trance hypnotists, Aly & Fila, the legendary Markus Schulz, MarLo, Grum and Spencer Brown.
For all you house and techno heads, Awakenings needs no introduction, and neither does this lineup that’s going to shake The 6th Boro from top to bottom! Veteran Twilo residency holders—Sasha & John Digweed—are back on their old stomping grounds for the first time in a decade, and will be headlining the Awakenings tent for Day 1. Joining the special guests will be techno diehard, Paul Kalkbrenner and rising star Julia Govor.
Headlining the Main Stage on Saturday (Day 2) are EZoo veterans Above & Beyond, pretty much guaranteeing there won’t be a dry eye on Randall’s Island by the end of the night. Also programmed for Saturday is Main Stage headliner and Grammy award-winning artist, Zedd, future house head honcho Tchami, Trance Family favorites Tritonal, Illenium (live), Audien, Shaun Frank, Cid and Bruno Martini.
We’ve got a very special night of cavernously large bass at the Hilltop, courtesy of dubstep monolith Excision, LA-bass duo Slander and and OWSLA boy wonder Ghastly, Kayzo, “meatball mafia” don Spag Heddy, Crankdat, Jaykode and Quix.
The Riverside is too cool for school on Day 2, with Dutch future house progenitor Oliver Heldens leading the charge, with support from masked marauder Malaa, underground idol Rezz, Drezo, Wax Motif, Brohug, No Mana and Blackgummy.
The Awakenings stage is coming in hotter than a NYC heatwave on Saturday with Dirtybird honcho Claude Vonstroke, New York legends Danny Tenaglia and Victor Calderone, Minus imprint essential selector Gaiser, and New York staple, Boris, providing a heavy dose of classy beats—What else would you expect from Awakenings?
On Sunday, we’re going out with a bang with a very special collaborative Main Stage closing set from Deadumau5 and ERic Prydz. Dutch powerhouse and five-time DJ Mag #1 DJ of the year Armin Van Buuren, genre-mashing party animals Yellow Claw, blass slangin’ worldbeater NGHTMRE, Dirty Dutch champions, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Cali swagmaster Ookay, breakthrough artist Alan Walker, Australian mover and shaker, Hook N Sling, and “Walking With Lions” hitmaker Codeko will all support, bringing their A-game to what will be the most epic closing day in EZoo history.
After a muy especiale year that ended with the honor of earning Mixmag’s 2016 Club of the Year, we welcome back Barcelona party professionals, elrow, for an immersive takeover experience at the Hilltop Arena. If you didn’t check out elrow last year, we’re making 2017 mandatory. Do. Not. Miss. This. Tropical house lad-about-town Thomas Jack will be showing off a deeper side to his track selections, and will be joined by elrow residents De La Swing and Marc Maya, the elusive Claptone, Mixmag’s 2016 DJ of the year The Black Madonna, Miami-based, ALX, and Unsourced collective founder, Charles Meyer. That’s not to mention the kaleidoscope of color and frivolity that only elrow can bring.
We’re delighted to welcome the patron saint of bass house—Jauz—and his fresh party concept Off The Deep End. He’s invited candy-coated anthem basher Slushii, UK drum and bass hero Sub Focus, free-wheeling bass-dropper JOYRYDE, breakthrough artist, K?D, feel-good house dreamer, SAINT WKND, and Arizona ghetto house reptile, Bijou.
For Awakenings Day 3, we’ve saved the best for last with Innervisions label founder and Resident Advisor’s Top DJ Poll #1 spot holder Dixon, closing out the stage with a three hour set that will undoubtedly be bold, colorful and full of emotion. Joining Dixon is Innervisions family member, Henrik Schwarz, with a highly anticipated live set, and Anjunadeep favorite, Yotto.
