Meet Your Host Series: Bite This!

Last week, we highlighted the brilliance of Carl Cox Invites as an official Electric Zoo stage host. Next up: Bite This! Founded in 2017 by Jauz, Bite This! focuses on bass house and other hybrid genres driving the evolution of dance music. As a genre-bending DJ-producer, Jauz has invited other dance music shapeshifters along for the voyage on his label and at parties.

Be sure to secure your tickets so you don’t miss out on the action! Limited tier 1 tickets are available…for now!

Jauz

If dance music had the epitome of a Renaissance man, it would be Jauz. Since 2013, the Los Angeles-based DJ-producer and Bite This! label boss has dabbled in multiple subgenres of electronic music ranging from house to bass and even garage. His high-energy live sets and buzzy bangers – originals and remixes – warrant your admiration and attendance. So, shark squad, are you ready to surf the ‘dangerous waters’ of euphoric, bass-heavy sounds with us?!

SVDDEN DEATH

If it’s potent-packed watts of bass you’re itching for, then Los Angeles-based SVDDEN DEATH will fill that void (Voyd?)! Before producing electronic music, he played in various jazz, indie, and metal bands – with the latter genre influencing his SVDDEN DEATH project. Masterfully blending vivid rhythms and tantalizing basslines, the bass music titan has created a headbanging sound perfect for EZoo! So, come for the vibe, stay for the ‘crusade.’ Sidebar: We hear he puts on quite the theatrics during his shows, so we’re in for a ride!

Diesel

Shaquille O’Neal’s enthusiasm for dance music came to the fore after he attended the 2014 edition of TomorrowWorld. And the rest is history. The following year, Shaq, a.k.a. DJ Diesel, made his debut at TomorrowWorld. The NBA Hall of Famer took the stage in front of tens of thousands of fans, mixing the hottest bops in trap music, EDM, and hip-hop. Since then, Diesel has performed on the main stages of mega-events around the globe, such as Tomorrowland, and launched his festival series, Shaq’s Fun House. We’re sure he will bring the fun and fire to the Bite This! stage.

Dimension

If it’s your ‘desire’ to catch one of England’s brightest electronic music artists on the scene, then you won’t want to miss Dimension. Over the past several years, Dimension has built a name for himself, releasing a blend of drum n’ bass originals (we are big fans of his collaborative track with Culture Shock called “Love To Give”) and underground club anthems such as “UK.” Additionally, as an excellent remixer who’s reworked tunes by deadmau5, Chase & Status, Nero, and Duke Dumont, Dimension is a powerhouse performer who seamlessly selects tracks perfect to set the party mood.

Whipped Cream

Canadian DJ-producer Caroline Cecil, better known as Whipped Cream, released her debut EP, ‘Law of Attraction,’ in 2015 and has since built a loyal fanbase. And it’s no wonder she has such a large group of fans. Her impact on the dance music scene can be felt and heard through electro heater, “Bad For Me,” trap-tastic “Told Ya,” which she crafted alongside Lil Xan, and her recent midtempo mind-bender, “CRY.” Whether WC goes the melodic house route or taps into bass-drizzled bangers during her EZoo set, we know it’ll be a show to remember.

Moore Kismet

Teenage wunderkind Moore Kismet has been on our radar since 2020 with their unique ability to produce forward-thinking and flat-out awesome bass music! With tracks like “Flair” and “Adore,” the young prodigy proves he’s a legend in the making. But, of course, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention that their debut LP, ‘UNIVERSE,’ drops this week. So, we look forward to hearing the thrilling soundscape they will no doubt deliver!

XCRPT

Marking his return to EZoo this year is none other than DJ-producer XCRPT (pronounced “ex-cer-pt”). Inspired by the piano, while drawing influence from classical composers and dance music innovators, XCRPT has created a signature production style that’s best heard on tracks such as synth-driven “Coup” and collab with Berk on “Lost.” From the nation’s hottest clubs and most significant festivals, XCRPT continues to use the strength of sound to share his art with the world.

BARILAN

Producing intoxicating dance music is a gift. And for California’s rising dynamic DJ-producer and remixer BARILAN, it’s an ‘instinct.’ From reworking fellow EZoo performer Tchami’s “Born Again” to dropping his own solid two-track ‘4AM’ EP, BARILAN possesses the ability to ‘rock tha place’ with gritty sound design for house heads.

RNÉ

NYC-based house music maestro RNÉ combines shimmery disco with deep basslines, taking partygoers on a progressive adventure on the dance floor. An EZoo newcomer, we’re sure RNÉ will deliver a dazzling set repping the greatest city on earth!
